- ARISURE® Closed Male Luer (CML) with Cap, 100 / CASE
ARISURE® Closed Male Luer (CML) with Cap, 100 / CASE
Product Code: 88104
Needle-free, fully closed connections for safer hazardous drug preparation and administration.
The ARISURE® Closed Male Luer helps clinicians make secure, fully closed connections during the preparation and administration of hazardous injectable medications. As the central connection point of the ARISURE® system, it combines a familiar luer-lock interface with a membrane-to-membrane seal that enables a dry, fully closed disconnect.
For Use by Healthcare Professionals Only. Intended Use: ARISURE® is a Closed System Drug Transfer Device (CSTD) that mechanically prohibits the release of drugs in vapor, aerosol, or liquid form during preparation and administration, and prevents the introduction of microbial and airborne contaminants into the drug or fluid path, allowing the system to minimize exposure of individuals, healthcare personnel, and the environment to hazardous drugs.
Familiar Connection, Made Needleless
The Closed Male Luer uses the same luer-lock motion clinicians already know, helping support secure connections without requiring changes to established technique.
Designed to Reduce Complexity
By connecting directly with widely used valves, the Closed Male Luer helps reduce the need for additional adapters or accessories and supports simpler, more consistent workflows.
A Complete ARISURE® System
As the central connection point of the ARISURE® system, the Closed Male Luer works with the Closed Vial Adapter and Dry Spike to support fully closed transfer from vial access through bag transfer and administration.
- The ARISURE® Closed Male Luer (CML) is a safe and easy-to-use valved connector used for needle-free transfer of potentially hazardous fluids and medications between IV sets, syringes, and vials.
- When used with an ARISURE® Neutral Valve or other compatible valves, the ARISURE® CML forms an intuitive, secure Luer lock connection that enables a safe, simple transfer of medications¹.
- The ARISURE® CML enables a dry disconnection that reduces exposure to harmful drug residue. The ARISURE® CML remains mechanically and microbiologically closed, preventing leaks and reducing the risk of contamination.
- ARISURE® Closed Male Luer (CML) is a single-use, sterile, non-pyrogenic, swab-able, normally closed, Luer-activated, bi-directional valved connector. It is used to transfer IV fluids when reconstituting, dispensing, administering, or disposing of potentially hazardous fluids or other medications.
- The ARISURE® CML is versatile and can be used as a stand-alone male Luer connector on syringes or IV sets or with the ARISURE® ® Neutral Valve (and other compatible valves) during the handling of hazardous drugs to create a system that minimizes fluid leakage and the spread of vapor into the working environment.

ARISURE® is a closed system transfer device platform built for the preparation and administration of hazardous injectable medications.
It introduces a novel needle-free, hybrid approach that combines familiar luer-lock connections with a membrane-to-membrane seal, helping clinicians move away from traditional needled systems with a simpler workflow that supports safety, consistency, and ease of use.
ARISURE® helps clinicians handle hazardous drugs in a closed, needle-free system that reduces workflow complexity and supports safe compounding, transport, and delivery.
- Fewer steps, less complexity ARISURE® is designed to make hazardous drug preparation and administration easier to manage with fewer parts and a more straightforward workflow than traditional needled systems.
- Needleless connections, familiar workflow Built around luer-lock connections, ARISURE® helps teams adopt a needleless closed system without adding special connectors, unnecessary accessories, or major workflow changes.
- Closed protection with greater confidence ARISURE® is a new membrane-to-membrane, needleless CSTD and is designed to prevent leaks if a connection is accidentally disengaged, supporting safer hazardous drug handling from preparation through delivery.
A Complete ARISURE® SystemARISURE® brings together the Closed Vial Adapter, Closed Male Luer, and Dry Spike in a complete needle-free system that supports closed transfer from vial access through bag transfer and administration. The membrane-to-membrane seal paired with luer-lock connections gives clinicians a familiar connection experience during preparation and administration.

ARISURE® Closed Male Luer:
How does the ARISURE® Closed Male Luer help reduce exposure? It forms a dry disconnect with mating components and stays closed when disconnected to prevent exposure to hazardous medication.
Does the ARISURE® Closed Male Luer use a luer-lock connection? Yes. The ARISURE® Closed Male Luer uses a familiar luer-lock connection that supports a simple, closed transfer of hazardous fluids by incorporating a membrane-to-membrane seal.
Is the ARISURE® Closed Male Luer closed when not in use? Yes. The ARISURE® Closed Male Luer automatically closes just prior to disconnect to prevent exposure to hazardous medications.
How does the ARISURE® Closed Male Luer support cleaner, safer connections? It is designed to maintain seal integrity, helping reduce the risk of contamination and maintain sealed connections even after repeated access.
Does the ARISURE® Closed Male Luer require special adapters? No. The ar Closed Male Luer is designed to work without special adapters and permanently attaches to standard syringes and IV sets without the risk of becoming disconnected.
ARISURE® System:
What is the ARISURE® Closed System Transfer Device? ARISURE® is a needleless closed system transfer device for the preparation, transport and delivery of hazardous drugs.
How is ARISURE® different from traditional CSTDs? ARISURE® uses a needleless, membrane-to-membrane design with luer-lock connections instead of the needled approach used in many traditional CSTDs. That means fewer workflow changes and a more familiar experience during preparation and administration.
What are the main components of the ARISURE® system? The ARISURE® system includes the ARISURE® Closed Vial Adapter, ARISURE® Closed Male Luer, and ARISURE® Dry Spike.
Is the ARISURE® Closed Vial Adapter mechanically closed? Yes. The ARISURE® Closed Vial Adapter is mechanically closed.
Does the ARISURE® Closed Vial Adapter core the vial stopper? No. The spike design does not core the vial stopper under normal use.
How does ARISURE® help support clinician safety? ARISURE® helps clinicians handle hazardous drugs in a closed, needleless system designed to reduce workflow complexity and support more confident preparation and administration.
