ARISURE® Closed Vial Adapters (VCA), 28mm 50 / Case

Product Code: 88054

Closed vial access for hazardous medication preparation and administration.

The ARISURE® Closed Vial Adapter helps clinicians access vials with greater confidence during the preparation and administration of hazardous injectable medications. As part of the ARISURE® system, it provides a secure, membrane-to-membrane interface that helps maintain a fully closed pathway during vial access.

For Use by Healthcare Professionals Only. Intended Use: ARISURE® is a Closed System Drug Transfer Device (CSTD) that mechanically prohibits the release of drugs in vapor, aerosol, or liquid form during preparation and administration, and prevents the introduction of microbial and airborne contaminants into the drug or fluid path, allowing the system to minimize exposure of individuals, healthcare personnel, and the environment to hazardous drugs.

Familiar Use, Secure Connection
Designed to work with standard preparation technique, the ARISURE® Closed Vial Adapter helps clinicians access vials using familiar motions and a secure luer-lock connection without changing established workflow.

Safe Medication Preparation
Its closed interface helps maintain a fully closed pathway during vial access, supporting safer hazardous drug preparation without adding unnecessary steps or complexity to the workflow.

A Complete ARISURE® System
ARISURE® brings together the Closed Vial Adapter, Closed Male Luer, and Dry Spike in a complete needleless system designed to support closed transfer from vial access through bag transfer and administration.

  • The ARISURE® Closed Vial Adapter (CVA) is a safe and easy-to-use vial access device for use with hazardous medications. Its low attachment force and non-coring spike help eliminate problems during vial access.
  • The ARISURE® CVA is available in 13mm, 20mm, and 28mm sizes.
  • When used with an ARISURE® Closed Male Luer (CML), the ARISURE® CVA forms an intuitive, secure Luer lock connection that enables safe, simple transfer of medications. The ARISURE® CVA remains mechanically and microbiologically closed, preventing leaks and maintaining drug vial sterility for up to 7 days when used and properly stored according to USP <797>, and reducing the risk of contamination.
  • The ARISURE® CVA is a stand-alone, single-use, disposable device that permits access to a medication vial without the use of a needle. All ARISURE® CVA configurations are designed to mate with standard medication vial enclosures of complementary dimension and feature a needle-free valve for mating Luer access. This device is used for reconstituting and transferring potentially hazardous fluids or other medications.
  • The ARISURE® CVA used with the ARISURE® CML creates a versatile closed system that is used for reconstituting and transferring potentially hazardous fluids or other medications. The system supports dry disconnection, minimizes fluid leakage, prevents the spread of vapor into the working environment, and reduces exposure to harmful drug residue. The ARISURE® CVA and ARISURE® Neutral Valve (ANV) are contraindicated for use with blunt cannula systems.

ARISURE® is a closed system transfer device platform built for the preparation and administration of hazardous injectable medications.

It introduces a novel needle-free, hybrid approach that combines familiar luer-lock connections with a membrane-to-membrane seal, helping clinicians move away from traditional needled systems with a simpler workflow that supports safety, consistency, and ease of use.

ARISURE® helps clinicians handle hazardous drugs in a closed, needle-free system that reduces workflow complexity and supports safe compounding, transport, and delivery.

  • Fewer steps, less complexity ARISURE® is designed to make hazardous drug preparation and administration easier to manage with fewer parts and a more straightforward workflow than traditional needled systems.
  • Needleless connections, familiar workflow Built around luer-lock connections, ARISURE® helps teams adopt a needleless closed system without adding special connectors, unnecessary accessories, or major workflow changes.
  • Closed protection with greater confidence ARISURE® is a new membrane-to-membrane, needleless CSTD and is designed to prevent leaks if a connection is accidentally disengaged, supporting safer hazardous drug handling from preparation through delivery.

A Complete ARISURE® SystemARISURE® brings together the Closed Vial Adapter, Closed Male Luer, and Dry Spike in a complete needle-free system that supports closed transfer from vial access through bag transfer and administration. The membrane-to-membrane seal paired with luer-lock connections gives clinicians a familiar connection experience during preparation and administration.
