- Sol-Care™ Safety Needle is a single use, standard hypodermic needle with a protective arm that is used to enclose the needle after use to protect the healthcare professionals from needlestick injury
- In the activated position, the protective arm guards against accidental needle stick during normal handling and disposal of the used needle/syringe combination
- Every needle is equipped with a pivoting safety shield mechanism that locks in place to lower the risk of accidental injury after medication administration
- The Safety Needle is used in conjunction with a standard syringe for aspiration and administration of medication
- Sol-Care™ Safety Needle is used for general purpose injection and aspiration of fluids from vials, ampules and parts of the body below the surface of the skin

- Two options for protective arm activation: hard surface activation and thumb activation
- Simple one-handed safety shield mechanism
- Audible click indicates safety mechanism is secure and locked in place
- Hubs, protective shields, and packaging are color-coded for immediate identification of needles gauges (ISO 6009 in compliance with criteria given by OSHA)
- Protective arm does not obstruct visualization of injection site
- Bevel-up needle allows for low-angle injections
- 25 Gauge
- Individually packed, available in boxes of 100 units or cases of 800 unit
Syringes Available Separately:
- Compatible with all standard Luer Lock and Luer Slip Tip syringes (see item # V0201 for 1ml low dead space luer lock syringe and item # V0203 3ml luer lock syringe) for all vaccinations, including Flu and Covid products

- Because flu shots are commonly given through intramuscular injections, the length of needle depends on a person’s body mass index
- Stocking a combination of different needles lengths can help meet the needs of your patients
- General recommendations for flu shot planning are: 60% adult size, 25% for higher BMI, and 15% for infants/children
